I need to vent about the weather for a minute....please ignore me!

Yesterday I was alll excited about my cousins party and my pretty dress. I was going to her house for 5.30 and then we were going out to dinner and sleepover. So I was all ready to go - dress, heels, makeup, hair curled etc. - and then the rain started. So I ran out to the car with my mam and we got just outside of my estate and we realised all the cars were turning back because the road was flooded futher down - there were cars in water up to the headlights! My mam's car is only a little punto so we didn't want to risk it! So then we turned around and thought we'd go out the motorway. To get on it we had cross over it on a bridge so I looked out my window and it looked like a river. Seriously I took a picture on my phone and it's just water. The traffic cones were all floating and some cars looked that they were going to float too and the rest were pulling up on to the grass at the edge. Then we thought we'd try the going the really long way round but we couldn't get very far that way either so now I'm stuck here at home! I'm hoping I'll still make the sleepover part if the rain stops for a while. And just to make things worse I was starving and we had hardly any food left cos we're getting a new fridge/freezer on Monday so we cleared out a lot of the food and I had to eat noodles. Yeah so I'm not very happy
